Rally Together Fund – A Grant to Boost Sport Participation and Volunteerism

The vast majority of British Columbians believe that sport contributes to healthy communities and individuals. Over the last two years, it was clear that sport connects us and helps us thrive. So that more British Columbians can benefit from the positive power of sport, the Province of B.C. is launching the one-time Rally Together fund. This $4 million investment seeks to re-ignite participation and volunteerism in the amateur sport sector. Two separate grants are available for sport organizations:

1) Participation Grant
$2 million to help organizations build their participant numbers– to recruit players, athletes and participants of all ages, and to offer more inclusive and accessible program options so that more British Columbians can play.

2) Volunteerism Grant
$2 million to help organizations recruit, retain, and train volunteers– assistant coaches or referees, events or equipment coordinators, volunteers who manage the communication or the administration of the club, etc.

The grants are open from September 23 to November 4, 2022, to fund programs running between December 1, 2022, and January 15, 2024. To learn more about the fund, including eligibility information,
