In 2023, Engage Sport North’s Active Star program in Prince George received a significant boost from the PepsiCo Foundation’s Community Impact Grant. This grant, awarded by the philanthropic arm of PepsiCo, Inc., played a pivotal role in driving the success of our Active Star program over the past year.

Thanks to the generous support of the PepsiCo Foundation and the active participation of our community, we have been able to run our Active Star program at no cost for families in the North.

Active Star is a cornerstone of our collective efforts to promote sports and active lifestyles in the Prince George community. Through a variety of engaging activities and initiatives, Active Star has been instrumental in fostering a love for sports and physical activity amongst the youngest athletes.

The grant, totalling $10,000, enabled Engage Sport North to provide high-quality programming and resources to our participants. From equipment to staffing and promotional activities, the grant has touched every aspect of the Active Star program, ensuring its continued success.

Engage Sport North is proud to be one of the beneficiaries of the PepsiCo Foundation’s Community Impact Grant, among the 100 public charities and organizations across the United States and Canada selected for this honour. Through strategic partnerships like this, the PepsiCo Foundation aims to address challenges such as inequality through access to economic opportunity, clean water, and food security.
