Prince George, BRITISH COLUMBIA, October 5, 2022 – Active Star, presented by Engage Sport North, is back at the Northern Sport Centre. This free program is offered every Monday – Thursday from 9 – 11 a.m. for children ages 2 – 5.

Engage Sport North believes in delivering inclusive quality programs in physical literacy, sport participation, and high performance sport across northern BC. A key program is Active Star – an introductory sport program for children to develop fundamental movement skills and enjoy physical activity.

“In addition to free play on the indoor turf, our trained leaders will engage children in games and activities that will help your child develop the physical literacy needed for a lifetime of physical activity,” said Sarah Saunders, Manager of Sport Development. “Parents are welcome to participate with their children or leave children with the program staff and take advantage of everything the Northern Sport Centre has to offer.”

Starting on Monday, October 17, fitness trainers are also running Parent Pump, an exercise class for parents, during the Active Star program on Mondays.
