(PRINCE GEORGE, BC, June 6, 2023) – Engage Sport North (ESN) is delighted to announce the appointment of Marie Fowler as the organization’s new Executive Director. With a strong background in sport development and a deep commitment to promoting physical literacy, Marie brings a wealth of expertise and a passion for community engagement, making her an invaluable addition to the Engage Sport North team.

Expressing her enthusiasm for joining Engage Sport North, Marie shared, “I am thrilled to be part of this remarkable team. Recognizing the profound importance of physical literacy, inclusion and sport development in Northern British Columbia, I am fully committed to bringing my enthusiasm and passion to this role while broadening access to sport and physical literacy in the North.”

Assuming the role on July 4, 2023, Marie Fowler steps into her position at a critical juncture as Engage Sport North strives to expand its initiatives and further enhance access to sports and physical literacy across Northern British Columbia. With over 23 years of experience as a teacher and a Master’s degree in Leadership and Administration, Marie’s extensive knowledge and drive to impact the region positively will be instrumental in driving the organization’s mission. Outgoing Executive Director Mandi Graham will support Marie in her new role and continue to provide insight to the Engage Sport North team on an ongoing basis.
